The Kimball House

The Kimball HouseAdjacent to The Chubb Theatre is the lovingly- maintained Kimball House, a stately 19th-century Victorian mansion that is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.

Visitors marvel at the hand-carved woodwork, marble fireplaces, and Tiffany windows and mirrors. This historic resource has been protected with assistance from the New Hampshire Land and Community Heritage Investment Program.

The Kimball House serves as administrative office space for the Capitol Center for the Arts and has played host to intimate dinner parties, weddings, business retreats, meetings, and presentations.

Several splendid meeting spaces in The Kimball House are available for public use. The main floor includes a formal dining room, hallway, sitting room and mahogany porch – an elegant setting for up to 75 people. For a small fee, larger gatherings can extend into the stately main-floor library, which features a double-sided marble fireplace. The third-floor board room sits up to 40 people and is a perfect space for business retreats, planning meetings and presentations.
