Booking & Marketing Assistant

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly team member who

  • Is self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects at the same time, with an eye for details and deadlines.
  • Has an understanding of business and marketing concepts. Experience in the business of the performing arts is preferred but not required.
  • Is comfortable engaging on multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, whatever the next big thing is).
  • Is able to learn new procedures and software efficiently. Experience with Salesforce and/or PatronManager is a plus.

This position will support the marketing department with activities including:

  • Assisting in the development and distribution of marketing and promotional materials.
  • Proofreading
  • Communicating with direct-mail and printing partners, placing orders, coordinating file transfers, pick up/delivery of printed materials
  • Delivering materials, hanging posters, etc.
  • Assisting with implementation of marketing plans and strategies.
  • Composing and distributing press releases
  • Monitoring ad spends and budgets
  • Communicating with media partners and coordinating delivery of marketing files and placement of ads according to marketing plan/schedule

Creating and managing content for social media channels.

  • Writing copy and creating images, scheduling posts, and monitoring and engaging in conversation as the online voice of the organization across social media
  • Proofreading and monitoring social media posts created by outside social media contractors
  • Interacting with other community organizations and media partners online, reposting/sharing relevant content

This position will support the programming department with activities including:

  • Data entry
  • Sending copies of post-show settlements to agents
  • Preparing paperwork for finance department ahead of shows/events
