Starring Sopranos Nova Y. Payton and Jamet Pittman and mezzo-soprano Laurice Lanier. These classically trained African-American women magnificently perform an unprecedented nine styles of music, three languages and 300 years of music in one performance, showcasing their incredible strength and versatility.
3 Mo’ Divas is the brainchild of longtime producer of Amateur Night at the Apollo and Broadway creator/director, Marion J. Caffey. Mr. Caffey was recently featured in the 2020 Emmy Award winning HBO outstanding documentary The Apollo. He has the unique distinction of having been on Broadway as an actor, singer, director, writer, creator and choreographer.
3 Mo’ Divas follows the great success of his international hit, Three Mo’ Tenors, which opened to critical and audience acclaim in New York City in 2000. This performance originally aired on the beloved PBS show Great Performances, and the album was nominated in the 41st NAACP Image Awards.
