On the heels of her Top 40 hit “I Know a Girl” (Nicolle Galyon/Jimmy Robbins/Shelley Skidmore), rising artist and songwriter MaRynn (Muh-rin) Taylor is at Country radio now with her single, “Every Single Summer,” a fresh new song she co-wrote with Jonathan Gamble and Jason Earley. Produced by GRAMMY Award-winner Josh Kerr, the up-tempo track jumps right into the reminiscent days of summers past, celebrating youth, long days and nights at the beach, and the freedom of driving around while falling for a crush. Her debut EP, Something I Would Do, is OUT NOW (6/3) on Black River.
MaRynn Taylor moved to Nashville in 2019 to pursue music and stepped into an almost dreamlike scenario. She was standing in the rain after a long day during CMA Fest and ready to go home when she was serendipitously handed a flyer for Black River’s 60-Second Spotlight. As luck would have it, by the time she found the event in Music City Center, the talent opportunity was closed for the day. But as FATE would have it, the executive staff enjoyed talking to the aspiring artist and invited her to sing a couple of songs.
The rest of that summer was like a music camp for MaRynn, filled with songwriting sessions, getting to know the team at Black River, and her first time recording music in a studio. Later that year, on the day of the CMA Awards (11/13), while in the middle of a live interview on the legendary 650 AM WSM radio’s Coffee, Country, and Cody with Bill Cody, Taylor signed her recording and publishing deal with Black River Entertainment.
